A Letter to the Parents (Tucson, Arizona - 5th grade Student Teaching 17-18')
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Jenna Golden, and I am a Senior at the University of Arizona. I am studying Elementary Education, with a minor in Special Education and will be graduating with my Bachelors Degree in May 2018. As an ICAT, I am very excited to be putting all that I have learned into use by becoming an active leader in your child’s classroom.
I am going to be spending my first few weeks getting familiar with the daily routines of the class as well as getting to know your child. Ms. Jones’s class has already been so inviting and pleasant to work with. I look forward to getting to know your student more as this semester progresses.
Sincerely,
Jenna Golden
How do we develop professionally as a group?
Every Wednesday the school gets out early and we spend that time to attend a meeting including all of the school staff. We discuss new ways to improve our learning and to become the best teachers possible. On Wednesdays we wear our blue shirts to represent school spirit. Here is a photo of us at one of our workshops learning about different ways to do guided readings and centers.
