My Teaching Philosophy
My philosophy of education is that all children are unique and should have a stimulating educational environment. This is important so that they are able to grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. It is my honor to create this type of atmosphere where my students can meet their goals. I will provide a safe environment where students feel comfortable and invited to share their own ideas and take risks. I want my students to understand that we learn from our mistakes and that this is normal.
I aim to bring a positive attitude, high expectations and an open mind to my classroom. I believe strategies like morning meetings, classroom jobs, and problem-solving skills are all extremely important roles that students should partake-in in order to learn responsibility.
Overtime my educational philosophy may change. Teaching is a lifelong process where you learn new strategies, new ideas, and new philosophies. This is just the beginning of my journey and I can't wait to see what the future holds.
We wanted to create a mural that everyone first sees when they walk into the school to remind students to spread positivity. Below are pictures of me and my american coworkers leaving our 'mark' on our bilingual school in Spain.
